TasteBud Tuesday: Spice Road Table

Taste Bud Tuesday.

Since beginning to branch out and try new foods and places in Walt Disney World I have been incredibly impressed with the variety there is. I was BEYOND pumped to try out Spice Road Table. I broke the news April 2013 about the new plans for this restaurant on the water.

The Moroccan Pavilion is the only pavilion in EPCOT which had help from the home country (in this case Morocco) in architecture and theme-ing of it's country.

When I walked by initially I noticed there were many seats directly next to the water that were available. I walked up and asked for a seat and was given THE PERFECT SPOT.

I really love everything about this restaurant. Every little detail is impressive.

Table set up.

The shade was perfect and with the breeze from the water was a little cool.

Menu

It was the perfect way to spend my last full day in Disney.

The waitress came over to ask me what I was interested in ordering. (It is important to note this is NOT an ADR restaurant, it's completely walk up.) I told her I wanted a drink but couldn't choose. I asked what she would suggest. She recommended the Mediterranean Journey. It's made with Cointreau, Peach Vodka, Orange Juice and topped with Grenadine. I'll admit I was a little nervous.

I was surprised how empty it was.

I ended up ordering the Harissa Chicken Roll. I will admit for $8 I was kind of hoping for 2. The ketchup was deliciously spicy. Definitely helped give it a kick. The roll itself was like a very upscale version of Chili's Southwestern Eggrolls, I feel bad comparing it to that but I can't really compare it to anything else. It was absolutely delicious.

All in all, the prices are definitely "Disney prices" so be prepared to spend a lot for a little portion size. However, the flavor is definitely there and worth it. They have a large array of different beverages to try and although the menu seems more seafood oriented I found a gem I will be going back to get next vacation. The ambiance and view are worth the price alone. I'd like to see how they handle Illuminations but this is another great viewing place at night.

What do you think of Spice Road Table? Will you be stopping by?

    1. It opened Saturday of Marathon Weekend. Because there were shops already on that side in Morocco it still blends in perfectly.

  3. Huh. I was excited to try this place but I don't see many options for a vegetarian. :( Just hummus and olives? I can get a huge vegetarian platter across the way at Tangeriene Cafe. *pouts*

  4. I really wish this had been open the first day I was at Disney for marathon weekend, instead of opening the last day. Everything looks so good, and right away I know I'd get the red Sangria.
