Let's get real for a second.

You just ran 3.1, 6.2, 13.1 26.2 OR you spectated someone you love do those. The first (okay maybe, second) thing your body needs, wants, DESERVES is a good drink to celebrate. Now, if you know me, and well I hope you should want to. I love a good beverage, if it's adult it's even better!

Princess Half Marathon 2013

I think the best way to break down your numerous options is to break them into categories.

Resorts, Parks and Downtown Disney

Lets start with the resorts.

Boardwalk Inn and Villas

There are a few options at Disney's Boardwalk.
Jellyrolls, although not open directly after the morning races is a blast of a place to celebrate at.
Jellyrolls-32 oz Sex on the Beach

Kouzzina at breakfast is a dream come true. While you are snacking on Golden Waffles you can sip this beauty.
Kouzzina- Sunrise Sangria

At night Boardwalk Joe's is open for business, you should consider yourself lucky enough to have the opportunity to taste one of the most delicious margaritas on property.

Boardwalk Joe's - Wildberry Margarita

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Although I personally opt for a margarita on the rocks this one from Sanaa happens to hit the spot as a frozen drink.
Sanaa- Mango Margarita

Parks

EPCOT

San Angel Inn - Classic Margarita

La Cava del Tequila- Passion Fruit Margarita

Japan Sake Bar

France- Pommegrante Kir

American Adventure- Angry Orchard (Food and Wine Festival)

MGM (yup, I said it)

One of my new favorite places is the Brown Derby Lounge, it is adorable and quaint and the perfect spot to get out of the sun. If you think one margarita is good, three are better!
Brown Derby Lounge- Citizen's Take Flight

Before the opening of the Brown Derby Lounge, the Tune in Lounge attached to 50's Prime Time Cafe was one of the best places to get a drink. This one is under 'Dad's Cocktails' on the menu.
Tune In Lounge- Patron Platinum Margarita

Animal Kingdom

The bar here is somewhat hidden and can get very busy, if you get lucky and there is a seat open, grab it, the bartenders are so much fun to talk to.
Dawa Bar- African Margarita

When I said this drink is a hidden gem, it could not be more serious. On your way to Asia there is a small stand on the left. GET THIS.
Asia- Island Margarita

Downtown Disney

Everyone is Irish when they go to Raglan Road, not in the mood for Guinness? This is the perfect option for non-beer drinkers.
Raglan Road- Magner's Hard Cider

I hope you are excited for your journey towards runDisney bling and your post race cocktail. This is only a small sampling of the options available on Disney property. Remember to always drink responsibly and NEVER ever drive after you have drank, transportation is always available.

Keep hopping along and maybe I'll see you at Marathon Weekend 2014!

runDisney updates!

Walt Disney World Wednesday
*a little late*

Because I am on this HUGE runDisney kick, ANNNNNNNNNNND I just registered for the Inaugural 10k in January I am going to highlight the new changes runDisney has rolled out.

It seems they really have listened to runners over the last year.

Not only is the Dopey Challenge New (4 races, 48.6 miles, 4 days, 6 medals)
The 10k was added - Sold out in record time! I think it was about 7 hours or something

- They are reducing the number of runners allowed to register, which is going to help tremendously with the crowding on the course.

- They are asking for proof of time and a cut off date for submitting that time so people are correctly placed and the movement of corrals is done and set months in advance. (THANK YOU!)

- They are spreading out the corrals so there are less people starting at the same time and people are able to be spaced out. There are certain bottle-necking areas that can get very dangerous.

- They are keeping the course from last years 20th anniversary course.

- They are adding a women's tech shirt for the 10k, half marathon, full marathon and of course Goofy Challenge and Dopey Challenge. Women Power! I actually do not care if it is a men's shirt or a women's shirt, but I understand how some women feel. I am happy there is an option now at least.

SO EXCITED!

"What do you do when things go wrong? Oh! You sing a song!"-Snow White

runDisney has made it official today! The Dopey Challenge is a new option for the next level of obsessed runners at the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. It will extend the festivities by an extra day.

(pricing is for each individual race and the first price deadline after June 18th they all go up)

Thursday is the 5k-$60
Friday is the 10k (BRAND NEW EEEEEEE!)-$95
Saturday is the half marathon-$160
Sunday is the full marathon-$160

The price tag for the Dopey Challenge is mighty hefty - $495 before the additional fee from Active.com but what I love the most about it is you get all 4 individual medals PLUS the goofy race and half PLUS the dopey medal.

Sammy Jo was so excited about this she text'd me about 60 seconds after it was posted on the website hahaha It is so fantastic to have someone else in my life as insane as I am about these races. Although her and I might need to start our own side job to make money to do all these.

Registration opens April 9th. I have until then to talk myself off the ledge....the 10k does sound pretty phenomenal though....
